Request materials from other libraries (ILL)
Use the interlibrary loan (ILL) form.
Students and employees of VCC can request journal articles, books, and DVDs owned by other libraries but not already owned by VCC by using our free Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.
- Books usually arrive in 10 or fewer working days.
- Journal articles are emailed to you, usually in 1-3 working days.
Borrow materials from other libraries (in person)
VCC students and employees can borrow materials directly from other BC public post-secondary institutions.
- VCC students will need to show the other library their VCC student ID card and proof of current registration.
- See the CPSLD Reciprocal Borrowing Policy, and the other library for their procedures.
- This is free of charge. Institutions’ borrowing policies may include overdue fines, if applicable.
Use Illume to search all British Columbia post-secondary and public libraries simultaneously for items not owned by VCC Library.
To borrow items from public libraries, VCC students must have a public library card.
